An Integrated Structure of Wireless Power Transfer, Onboard Charger, and Auxiliary Power Module in Electric Vehicle Charging Systems

The rapid development of electric vehicles has put forward higher requirements for various technologies of electric vehicles. One of the key components is the battery, which serves as the power source for electric vehicles. A suitable charging system can improve the safety and efficiency of electric vehicle battery charging, as well as extend the battery's service life and endurance. In this paper, an EV wireless charging system is proposed by employing an integrated solution for an electric vehicle charging system. The system can switch between different charging modes to meet the charging needs in different situations, including wireless power transfer (WPT), onbard charger (OBC), and auxiliary power module (APM). Different modes have different working frequencies. The leakage compensation model is used on the vehicle charging side, high-voltage receiving side, and low-voltage receiving side, while LCC compensation is used on the wireless charging side to achieve the required voltage ratio. The mathematical model of the integration of the WPT, OBC, and APM systems is established and verified in simulation.
