A Model Reference Adaptive Control Strategy with Inertia Identification for Electric Winch System

This paper introduces a model reference adaptive control (MRAC) system for electric winch with inertia identification. Firstly, the influence of rotational inertia on the control system is analyzed. Then, as for the electric winch has the feature that the rotational inertia of the winch with the change of the number of wrapping turns of the cable. A MRAC algorithm for inertia identification is proposed to address the problem of inertia mismatch. Finally, the control effect of the inertia identification-based control algorithm is compared with the traditional control algorithm through simulation verification.
