Joint Optimal Scheduling for EV-UAV Model in Wireless Charging Sensor Networks

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) can serve as a wireless power source within wireless charging sensor networks (WCSNs). The combination of electric vehicles (EVs) and UAVs introduces a novel paradigm in WCSNs. Within the EV-UAV model, the EV functions as a mobile depot, supporting its attached UAVs as they depart from the EV to fulfill electricity replenishment tasks. The EV enhances its mileage endurance by utilizing distributed energy sources and can also replenish energy for the UAVs. A two-echelon framework, utilizing mixed-integer linear programming (MILP), is proposed for optimal joint scheduling, considering constraints such as time windows and the battery capacity of EVs and UAVs.
