Topology and Control of Intermediate Frequency Isolated Offshore Wind Power Centralized Hydrogen Production Equipment Based on M3C

Hydrogen production from offshore wind power is an effective means to solve the problems of large-scale grid integration and consumption of offshore wind power and the high cost of deep-sea power transmission. Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and other European countries have already planned for hydrogen production from offshore wind power with more than one million kilowatts. In this paper, a centralized hydrogen production equipment for intermediate frequency isolated offshore wind power based on modular multilevel matrix converter (M3C) is proposed to improve the absorption capacity of offshore wind power and the production and utilization of hydrogen. The equipment system adopts M3C converter in the front stage, which can realize the execution of offshore wind power, and give full play to the frequency conversion function of the converter, and the intermediate frequency isolation transformer is used in the 35kV equipment system to avoid the difficult problem of high-frequency transformer insulation design, and the hybrid rectifier is used in the rear stage, and the active filter is added to harmonic control the thyristor rectification. This paper completes the detailed theoretical analysis, and uses Matlab/Simulink simulation software to complete the simulation verification.
