Research on the Influencing Factors of Circulation Current of Single-Core Submarine Cable Based on ATP-EMTP

Both ends of single-core submarine cable sheath and armor are directly grounded, and the grounding current of submarine cable during operation is large, which is an important factor affecting its safe operation. This paper uses the electromagnetic transient analysis software ATP-EMTP to analyze the effect of the relative permeability of the armor, the grounding resistance, and the length of the submarine cable on the circulation current, providing a solution for accurately judging the operation status of the submarine cable and formulating maintenance and repair strategies.
