Transient Mathematical Modelling and Parameter Optimization Method for Reactive Power of VSG Controlled DFIG Under Voltage Fault

The application of virtual synchronous generator (VSG) control strategy has enhanced the active support and stability capability of doubly-fed wind generator (DFIG) for the grid-connected operation. The voltage support capability of the DFIG is closely related to the VSG reactive power control loop. In order to analyze the factors affecting reactive power output, it is essential to model the reactive power characteristics of VSG controlled DFIG when the grid voltage dips. This paper establishes a mathematical model and a parameter optimization method for the transient reactive power of VSG controlled DFIG. The method is aimed to suppress the maximum reactive power surge and ensure the ability of reactive power response.
