Simulation Analysis of Electromagnetic and Heat Field Distribution in 330kV High Voltage AC Cable

Power cable, as a carrier of electric energy in the power system, has an important role in high-voltage large-capacity power transmission. With the exponential growth of China's power demand, the voltage level and line length are constantly rising, the thermal stability and fixture reliability of cable operation gradually decline. The cable will be subjected to three kinds of stresses, electric, magnetic and thermal, under the operating conditions of industrial frequency, this paper simulates and analyzes the electromagnetic heat of 330 kV high-voltage AC cable in the case of industrial frequency, and obtains the distribution of the cable flux density distribution and temperature field distribution, and finds that the maximum internal magnetic flux density is 2.6 mT while the minimum is 1.0 mT, and the maximum temperature of the cable operation is 316.26 K. The thermal effect is significantly weakened at the location of the copper core and the metal shield, where the thermal conductivity is large. Due to the skin effect, the magnetic flux density and temperature both spread outward from the center of the cable, increasing and then decreasing, reaching a maximum value near the surface of the core, while near the interface of the metal shield, the magnetic flux density instantly decreases to zero.
