The Key Construction Points of Electromagnetic Shielding Environment in The Anechoic Chamber

The microwave anechoic chamber is an important laboratory and electromagnetic shielding test environment in the field of electromagnetic compatibility, and the electromagnetic shielding project is the premise and foundation of it. Unlike general construction projects, there are many key aspects of construction relationships, the technical points are complex, the process is irreversible, the investment cost is high, and multiple disciplines are involved. The size of the anechoic chamber usually follows the principle of 3 m and 10m, and most of them take the form of an anechoic chamber built separately in the main building, i.e. “room within a room”. In recent years, there is still not much practical experience in constructing the electromagnetic shielding test environment of a large anechoic chamber that is completely welded and integrated with the main building. Taking the example of the construction of a large-scale electromagnetic shielding test project of microwave anechoic chamber, the paper analyzes and calculates the weak points that affect the shielding index of the anechoic chamber, such as filters, shielding doors, waveguides, and waveguide windows, discusses the main technical practices and design to achieve the shielding index of the anechoic chamber and meet the user's requirements, and provides reference experience for similar projects.
