Research and Application of Surface Detection Device for Minor Oil Seepage Fault of Submarine Cable

For oil seepage faults of oil-filled submarine cables with no damage to electrical insulation, fault troubleshooting has always been a worldwide problem. Under the background that electrical and hydraulic signals can not be accurately located, finding fault points from tens of kilometers of submarine cable routing is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the detection efficiency and scope to meet the actual detection needs. This paper proposes a set of real-time fluorescence detection device for submarine cable oil seepage fault detection. By installing a surface operation platform to carry out fluorescence detection device, real-time detection of submarine cable insulation oil can be realized on the water surface, rapidly narrowing the scope of submarine cable oil seepage fault detection, and greatly improving the work efficiency of fault detection.
