Constant Voltage Output Control for Wireless Power Transfer System Based on BP Neural Network

This paper proposes a novel PID controller for constant voltage output control of wireless power transfer (WPT) system. The proposed PID controller uses Back-Propagation (BP) neural network for parameter tuning in order to adjusted proportion coefficient, integral coefficient and differential coefficient of PID controller dynamically and improve the stability and robustness of constant voltage control system. Firstly, the mathematical model of S-S compensation topology (series capacitance compensation at the transmitter and series capacitance compensation at the receiver) is derived and the structure of constant voltage output control is established. After that, the algorithm of BP neural network is introduced and then, the parameter tuning of PID controller based on BP neural network is proposed. The simulation results show that the proposed PID controller based on BP neural network realizes constant voltage output of WPT system better compared with the traditional PID controller.
