Comparison of broadband performance of Current measurement technology

Current measuring devices are widely used in electric power systems, In this paper, the current measurement devices are divided into five categories: shunt, current transformer, Rogowski coil, magnetic sensor and new type current sensor. The structural characteristics, performance parameters and measurement performance optimization scheme of various high current sensing devices are analyzed in this paper. Finally, the development trend and application prospect of current measurement technology in the context of renewable energy grid-connection are outlooked.
