A Multi-Phase Capacitive Coupling Structure Based Capacitive Wireless Power Transfer System

This paper proposes an 800 W power level high frequency three-phase power inversion capacitive wireless power transfer (CPT) system. The multi-phase coupling structure is built with a metal column coupling structure. This paper innovatively puts forward a six-metal plate curved structure coupling coupler. It will improve the mutual capacitance of the coupling structure and power transfer capacity of the CPT system. Concurrently, the column coupler structure could minimize the installation space and enhance the system's resistance to drift. It could help to solve problems of charging voltage and current fluctuations caused in dynamic environment. The wireless power transfer capacity could be also promoted. The experiments were carried out in air medium. An 800 W experimental results have a good match with the theory analysis. The peak 80% power transfer efficiency with the air medium are achieved with the stable operation performance.
