An Improved Duty Cycle Model Predictive Modulation Method for Open-Winding Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

In order to suppress the zero-sequence current in the control system of open-circuit permanent magnet synchronous motor (OW-PMSM) with common DC bus winding and further improve the current quality, an improved duty cycle model predictive modulation method is proposed. The duty cycle control is added to the traditional MPC strategy, and the duty cycle MPC strategy is proposed. The deadbeat control principle is used to calculate the duty cycle, and the influence of the current zero-sequence component is considered in the value function. The zero-sequence current suppression strategy is actively added. Compared with the traditional single-vector model predictive current control, the proposed modulation method effectively reduces the AC-DC axis and zero-axis current fluctuations of the system.
