Voltage Control Strategy for Multi-Bus DC Micro-Grid with More Electric Aero Engines

With the increase of more electric aircraft loads it is imperative to increase power generation and improve bus voltage levels. DC micro-grids using multi-voltage level buses can be compatible with loads of different voltage levels and facilitating the parallel connection of multiple generators. A simulation with current-sharing control method based on power feedforward is implied. Results shows that this method can simply realize power distribution between generators of different capacities, and can effectively control the voltage of each bus within the normal operating range. By considering the multiple engines configuration in the control loop, the system is proved to make good transient and steady performance. The simulation verifies the control strategy.
