Risk Analysis and Countermeasures of Start-Up Failure and Unplanned Outage of Pumped Storage Units

With the proposal of the dual-carbon target, the functional positioning of pumped storage in the new energy system has changed greatly, and it will become an important support for the new energy system. Start-up failure and unplanned outage of pumped storage units will not only lead to power loss and increase maintenance costs, but also cause disturbance to the power grid system and destroy the stability of the power grid system. This paper analyzes the startup failure and unplanned outage of pumped storage units, and puts forward corresponding countermeasures to provide reference for the safe operation of units and improve the operation reliability of units.
