Study on Removal of Wastewater Treatment Plant Odorous Gases by Biofilter and Pulse Plasma Discharge Technology

In this study, the odorous gases of a wastewater treatment plant were treated by biofilter and pulsed plasma discharge technology. The principle and deodorization effect of biofilter and pulsed plasma discharge technology were described. The actual operation results showed that by applying the above two technologies, the average removal rate of ammonia (NH3) was 34.6% and 53.6%, the average removal rate of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) was 97.5

and 78.2%, and the average removal rate of odor was 49.5% and 79.2%, respectively. The concentration of NH3, H2S and odor at the outlet met the national emission standards, and the deodorization effect was remarkable at the scene, which could effectively solve the problem of odorous gases pollution.
