Experimental Study on Partial Discharge Radiation Characteristics of Conductors at the Head of Electric Poles of Insulated Distribution Overhead Lines

Non-contact partial discharge (PD) detection is an effective supplement to equipment condition assessment, which can provide more accurate positioning information and more discharge data. In view of the influence factors such as different forms of wire insulation layer, porcelain insulator and wire surface pollution, this paper carried out experiments on the spatial radiation characteristics of electromagnetic wave generated by partial discharge, measured the radiation electromagnetic wave signal at multiple points, analyzed the influence of different factors on electromagnetic wave signal in time domain and frequency domain, and extracted electromagnetic wave characteristics and propagation rules. The characteristics of partial discharge radiation at the pole head of overhead insulated line are systematically studied.
