A Partitioning Method for Distributed Generation Cluster of Distribution Power Grid with 5G Base Stations

This paper presents a distributed generation cluster partitioning method for a distribution power grid with 5G base stations. Firstly, the correlations of power consumption level and communication burden of 5G base stations are analyzed, and a power regulation model of 5G base stations is constructed considering these correlations and the standby energy storage role of 5G base stations. Then, two defined parameters of the modularity and cluster accommodation capacity were combined to form a comprehensive cluster partition index, and a cluster partitioning algorithm was designed based on K-means and discrete binary particle swarm optimization(DPSO). Finally, simulation results of a modified IEEE 33-bus system have verified the effectiveness of the proposed method for partitioning distributed generation.
