Research on Optimal Scheduling of Integrated Electricity and Natural Gas System Considering Demand Response

In this paper, the integrated electricity and natural gas system with power-to-gas equipment is taken as the research object, the resource adjustment on the source-load side is coordinated, and the optimal scheduling model taking into account the electricity price based demand response is constructed. With the minimum total cost of the system as the decision-making goal, the square terms in the constraint conditions are processed by piecewise function linearization method. A simulation example of an IEEE 30-node transmission network coupled with a Belgian 20-node natural gas network is built to solve the converted mixed integer linear model. The total cost, wind abandonment and electric load demand distribution under each scenario model are compared and analyzed, and the huge advantages of the power-to-gas equipment in enhancing the coupling of the integrated electricity and natural gas system and absorbing wind power output are verified. The addition of demand response further improves the economy of the system operation and plays the role of peak cutting and valley filling.
