Investigation of the Performance of Solar Tri-Generation System Experimental and Simulation Study

The performance of the tri-generation system which was built in the south of Jordan in the Muta'h University area is examined and analyzed. The system employments a small parabolic trough to produce steam at 13.8 bars and 211 °C. The produced steam is utilized to operate a 20 HP steam engine coupled with an AC generator to generate electricity. The steam yield from the Motor (at 1.5 bars and 120 °C) is used to evaporate brackish water to produce fresh water. The water vapor from the brackish water is at that point condensed to produce a refined water capacity of 150 liters per hour. In contrast, the hot rejected is put away in a hot capacity tank to operate an innovative two-stage air-cooled adsorption chiller in summer or space-heating in winter. The heating capacity is 80 kW while the cooling is 20 kW. The system is special because it produces power, distilled water, cooling, and heating by using only one solar matrix. This work shows that the utilization of normal solar irradiance DNI; yields the greatest amounts of each category of system generation; the most extreme production occurred in July. A new model for the solar field and the Tri-generation system is developed and validated with the experimental data. emission is also determined based on operating the solar tri-generation system compared to a conventional system. The annual rate of the system productivity is conducted and shows promise and potential.
