Comparison of Welch and Lomb-Scargle Methods for Constructing a Periodogram for Uniform Time Series of Locomotor Activity

This paper presents the practical comparison of two methods for constructing a time series periodogram: Welch's method and the Lomb-Scargle method. The initial data of the comparative analysis are uniformly distributed time series of locomotor activity containing information about the circadian rhythm of the animal. This paper contains the results of developing and analysing the construction of a periodogram using two methods, as well as recommendations for choosing a method depending on the nature of the data.
