Modelling Algal Blooms Triggered by Different Phytoplankton Species with Synergetic Control Theory

In this work application of the latest achievements of synergetic control theory to the construction of new algal bloom models is considered. A three-component model of zooplankton and phytoplankton is used as the basic model, where phytoplankton is split in two components: toxic and non-toxic. Interactions between species are based on a predator-prey model and competitive Lotka-Volterra equations. Analytical design of aggregated regulators method is applied in order to build controllable and robust systems that can be used to estimate the volume of algal blooms and calculate its timing.
