Design of Low cost Multi-Band Microstrip Antenna Array for 5G/Wi-Fi/C-band/X-Band Applications

Given the growing need for flexible and effective antennas operating in a range of frequency bands, multiband aerial arrays are unlikely to be highly important in today's wireless communication systems. A low profile multiband Microstrip Patch Antenna array with Dms cuts inside and in the large ring, as well as circles shaped like two rings, is shown in this study. A FR4 substrate with a dielectric constant of 4.3 and a loss tangent of 0.021 serves as the foundation for the construction. At multiband 5G frequencies, such as 3.03 GHz, 5.3 GHz, 5.8 GHz, 8.6 GHz, and 10.5 GHz, the proposed design resonates. It provides a bandwidth of 1.04 GHz, 1.2 GHz, and 1.1 GHz, and radiation efficiency of 80 percent, 75 percent, 70 percent, 65 percent, 60 percent, and 55 percent, respectively, at each resonant frequency. In the process of creating this multiband, obtained many frequencies: 3.03 gigahertz, 5.3 gigahertz, 5.8 gigahertz, 8.6 gigahertz, and 10.5 gigahertz. These bands are compatible with C-band, X-band, 5G, and Wi-Fi applications. There are five different frequencies where the return loss is measured: -33.195 dB at 10.5 GHz, -37.317 dB at 5.3 GHz, -35.813 dB at 5.8 GHz, -44.302 dB at 8.6 GHz, and - 19.278 dB at 3.03 GHz. A FR4 substrate with a dielectric constant of 4.3 and a loss tangent of 0.021 is imprinted with the antenna. The single component stays at a small 29.6 x 29.6 mm dimension. The 1x2 Array arrangement is 58.40x37x1.6 mm in total volume and has an improved maximum gain of 2.207 dB at 10.5 GHz, 2.830 dB at 5.3 GHz, 0.5947 dB at 5.8 GHz, 2.604 dB at 8.6 GHz, and 1.897 dB at 3.03 GHz. At 3.03 GHz, the array demonstrates an 80 percent maximum radiation efficiency. The suggested architecture significantly advances the development of next-generation wireless communication systems by offering flexibility, efficiency, and compactness. CST Microwave Studio Suite was used to evaluate and simulate the multiband antenna that was shown. To summarize, this research addresses the growing need for flexible and high-performance antennas in contemporary wireless communication systems by presenting a thorough theoretical framework and suggested design strategy for a multiband antenna array.
