Exploring the Influence of Temperature on the Photovoltaic Characteristics of Perovskite Solar Cells Based on CH3NH3PbI3

Methylammonium lead iodide (CH3NH3PbI3), is used as the active layer in PSC (perovskite solar cell) owing to its beneficial properties. It has direct band gap (Eg) that allows for effective absorption of light, minimal recombination rates & high carrier mobility, resulting in great device effectiveness. Furthermore, its solution-processable feature allows for affordable manufacturing. PSCs have become known as a viable technology for producing renewable energy, owing to their increased effectiveness as well as affordability in the manufacturing process. The primary goal of this study is to examine the effect of temperature on photovoltaic (PV) qualities. The current research used 1D-SCAPS software to perform the inquiry. /Spiro-OMeTAD device's framework has been described. Throughout this indicated experiment, the temperature ranges between 280K - 350K, with 10 equal steps. The Eg for the CH3NH3PbI3 material has been found to be 1.5 eV. When the ambient temperature has changed, the PV readings indicate the following values: Voc ~ 1.35 V, Jsc ~23.76 mA/cm2, FF ~87.95% and PCE ~28.31 %.
