Abstract:
In the present era, relying on the conventional pen-and-paper method for taking attendance not only places an additional burden on both employees and employers but also escalates the expenses associated with record maintenance, potentially leading to system manipulation. Consequently, there is an urgent requirement for a sophisticated attendance management system that ensures precise tracking, heightened productivity, and a reduction in the time required for attendance marking. As society embraces modernity, organizations are increasingly adopting advanced approaches to attendance management. Despite this trend, some entities persist in using traditional methods to uphold attendance records. Using an IoT-based attendance system is one method to increase job efficiency in this situation. The purpose of this project is to build a fingerprint attendance system using components such as the OLED display, ESP 8266, and GT511C3 fingerprint sensor. The ESP8266 WiFi module is responsible for gathering fingerprint data from several users and transmitting it via the internet. A remarkable accuracy rate of 99% is revealed by the experimental examination of the devised system, indicating a high degree of efficiency. The system completes attendance in an average of 3 seconds, outperforming many existing systems. Notably, the outcome underscores the reliability and security of the system, effectively thwarting impersonation. A key innovation in our system is its accessibility feature, allowing attendance records to be accessed from any location and providing real-time data to management. Furthermore, the incorporation of biometric technology ensures a more precise and secure means of attendance tracking, utilizing unique physical characteristics to identify individuals.
