Application of Superposition Principle in R-2R DAC

The superposition principle is one of the important contents of the “Basics of Circuit Analysis” course. To improve students' learning interest and inquiry ability, a new teaching idea is proposed, which enables the students to understand not only the application of the superposition principle and Thevenin's theorem in DAC during the circuit course but also the basic principles of the sampling theorem through the application experiment of R-2R DAC. By changing the sampling rate, the harmonic wave changes in the DAC output can be observed in a spectrum analyzer. This teaching idea deepens students' understanding and mastery of the superposition principle and is conducive to improving students' self-directed learning ability.
