A Fast Video Steganography Algorithm with High Robustness in Lossy Channels

High definition video can result in the loss of hidden information after being compressed through lossy channels during transmission. Meanwhile, efficient video steganography algorithms require hardware implementation to achieve low-power, high-speed, and more reliable real-time processing. In order to ensure real-time and reliable transmission of secret data, steganography algorithms need to have low complexity and high robustness. A highly efficient and robust steganography algorithm suitable for hardware platform implementation is proposed to address this issue. This algorithm utilizes the generation principle and distribution characteristics of DC coefficients to directly modify pixel values in the spatial domain, rather than executing them in the discrete cosine transform domain. Therefore, this algorithm possesses both the simplicity of spatial domain steganography and the high robustness of transformation domain steganography. The experimental results show that the algorithm has low computational complexity and exhibits excellent robustness and visual quality in local lossy channel compression.
