A Shaping Mechanism Suitable for Mixed Traffic Transmission In time Sensitive Networks

In recent years, with the diversification of network applications, such as real-time control, immersive interaction and edge computing, their requirements for data transmission are increasingly complex, requiring low latency, low jitter, and mixed transmission of traffic with different delays. In order to meet these diverse needs, the network must support mixed traffic transmission and ensure the transmission quality of high priority data to meet the challenges in different application scenarios. This article proposes a novel traffic integer protocol that combines the asynchronous shaping CBS protocol and the synchronous shaping TAS protocol in TSN. This mechanism is suitable for mixed traffic transmission and can ensure the transmission of critical traffic. This article also implemented the module on FPGA and verified the delay and flow control capabilities of the system, proving that the expected results have been achieved.
