Measurement and Characterization of an UWB mm Wave 2–40 GHz TCDA

In this paper, we present a novel UWB Tightly-Coupled Dipole Array that operates from the microwave to the mm-Wave regime. A new hybrid fabrication approach that combines 3D printing with PCB technologies and enables real-ization at mm- Wave frequencies is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. Simulations of an infinite array are performed and the performance is validated through the measurements of a 20×15 prototype.
