Memory Lane: Enhanced Learning Using AI-Driven Storytelling

Conventional learning methods have shown that techniques like flashcards, mind maps and mnemonic devices have played a significant role in boosting the memory retention capabilities of the learner. However, these methods still fall short when it comes to memorizing highly theoretical concepts with larger volumes of content. They can be time-consuming and require creative skills to generate good results. This paper proposes “Memory Lane” which is an AI learning tool that can improve memory retention while also making it fast and easy. It is based on the idea that bizarre stories stick to a person’s mind better than ordinary ones. Given an input theoretical data, it converts it into a sequence of bizarre imagery which helps in retention. The proposed tool was created using generative AI like GPT-3.5 and DALL-E. It provides impressive results in that it generates stories and visuals with narrative coherence and visual appeal thereby making the learning experience more engaging and effective. A survey conducted on memory retention revealed a retention score of 82%
