Digital Transformation of Systems Administration Education (DTSAE): An E-Learning Module Perspective

Traditional methods of delivering educational content have been complemented by integrating Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) into teaching and learning practices worldwide. Consequently, e-learning has become a preferred mode of delivering educational content. This research centers on creating an E-Learning Module in Systems Administration and Maintenance (ELMSAM) using the ADDIE model. The study was carried out at Mapua University, employing a purposive sampling approach, and involved fourteen educators and fifty-two students pursuing BSCS and BSIT programs as participants. To gauge the acceptability of the E-Learning Module in Systems Administration and Maintenance (ELMSAM), a validated questionnaire was employed to evaluate its content validity and acceptability criteria. The results revealed that the enhanced ELMSAM received high acceptability ratings regarding content validity and overall acceptability, as perceived by teachers and students, with composite means reaching 4.36 and 4.46, respectively. Moreover, the evaluation results of teachers and students did not exhibit any significant differences. As a result, this study suggests that future researchers embarking on similar technological developments, particularly E-Learning Modules in Systems Administration and Maintenance (ELMSAM), may find this research to be a valuable reference point. It paves the way for further studies in the same domain, fostering advancements in technology-enhanced learning.
