A Risk Assessment of a Barangay Management System Portal: A Case Study

This paper focuses on the evaluation and risk assessment of a Barangay Management System, which is a web application used by barangays (the smallest political units in the Philippines) for implementing developmental programs and policies. The study highlights the challenges faced by barangays in terms of manual-based operations, lack of reliable baseline data, and deficiencies in ICT capacities. The objective of the research is to comprehensively evaluate the functionality, security, user experience, data integrity, and accessibility of the web application, and propose enhancements to mitigate identified risks and improve performance. The study's significance lies in its contribution to IT risk management, protection of sensitive community data, and efficient service delivery.
