Energy Management of Wind Energy Hybrid Storage for Remote Area Power System

This paper presents the planning, development, and execution of an energy management technique (EMT) for a wind and hybrid energy storage system in a DC microgrid. The system is specifically designed for remote area power systems (RAPS). The goal is to enhance the battery's lifespan and reduce strain by integrating Supercapacitors, while also enabling power distribution between load and storage devices. An analysis is performed to examine the response characteristics of the microgrid system under different circumstances. Fluctuations in wind patterns and changes in the quantity of power required. The objective of the research is to minimize wind power fluctuations and maintain a stable supply of electricity, therefore ensuring the dependability of the DC microgrid. A MATLAB/Simulink-based model is developed to represent a wind energy microgrid system that incorporates hybrid energy storage. In order to assess the efficacy of the proposed architecture and approach across different operational scenarios, many simulations are conducted. The results demonstrate that the system is capable of preserving the stability of the load power supply, mitigating fluctuations in wind power, and guaranteeing the dependability of the DC microgrid
