Power, Frequency and Gain Current Conveyors Optimisation Strategy

In this paper, we propose a PSpice optimisation of the MOSFET dimensions of the CCII to reduce its power consumption while keeping the highest possible operating frequency and voltage and current gains as close as possible to unity. The optimisation process is performed in OrCAD PSpice and the amplitude and phase frequency characteristics are analysed. This confirms the correct functioning of the circuits. Two basic topologies of CCIIs are considered, the first for high frequency operation and the second for a higher input signal range. The CCIIs are then used to develop a constant-phase element of the order -1/2 that can operate in a wide frequency range (from low to high) and consumes low power.
