Proof of Concept: TIs over Bluetooth Implementation

The Bluetooth technologie is present in almost all equipment, especially the Internet of Things (loT). loT is already widely used in specific industries. These loT devices are mainly at risk due to inadequate in-built security measures, from their restricted settings and their limited computation powers. Given that, their security measures often fall short. Vulnerabilities in loT devices may allow cyber criminals to perform attacks against critical systems and also lead to numerous privacy breaches. This lead us to implement a new mechanism based on an existing standard to improve the loT security. The Proof of Concept (PoC) presented in this article aims to develop a reliable framework for loT. This framework introduces authentication and authorization controls for loT. The goal of this work is to provide a secure protocol stack based on Transport Layer Security (TLS) to develop a highly reliable system based on authentication and authorization in loT infrastructures. A particularly innovative aspect of this PoC is the implementation of TLS on Bluetooth devices. The main objective of this work is to improve the security of Bluetooth connections through the implementation of the TLS protocol. The proposed implementation is significant for the overall security of loT. One of the ambitious goals of this work is to demonstrate and experiment with this proposal to achieve a standard solution for securing and identifying all nodes in loT infrastructures.
