Analytical Calculation of Series Impedance for Deeply Buried Coaxial Cables

A formulation for the series impedance matrix is obtained for a deeply buried coaxial cable in terms of the Bessel functions from the electrodynamics scalar potential formula. The analytical formulations can model the proximity effect and skin effect in the series impedance calculations and easily solve problems where the Finite Element Analysis may fail, as in high-frequency eddy current problems, extensive domains, and thin semiconductor regions.
