Tailoring the exchange bias by AFM interface patterned control

The interface exchange bias
$(H_{E})$
in antiferromagnetic (AFM) / ferromagnetic (FM) layer systems is influenced by zero field cooling from specific ferromagnetic magnetization states,
$m$
, above the antiferromagnetic Neel temperature,
$T_{N}$
• The hypothesis posits that the AFM interface coupling depends on
$m_{0}$
, and the treatment can induce a specific AFM interface coupling patterned zero field FM magnetization profile at
$T=T_{N}$
dependent. We investigated a system with two opposite interface coupling fractions at the F/AF interface, a function of
$m$
. Our results show a good correlation with experiment [1], providing ways to predict the magnetic domain geometry recorded during this thermal/field treatment and potentially tuning FM magnetization curves.
