Frequency-Reconfigurable Antenna for WLAN Applications

In this paper, a novel frequency-reconfigurable PIFA antenna is introduced for WLAN applications for the two frequencies 2.4 and 5.8GHz. The designed antenna can be reconfigured using two PIN diodes, enabling operation in various frequency bands depending on the diode's state (on/off). The antenna's design allows for the generation of various configurations, providing flexibility to select either the first or second frequency or operate simultaneously on both frequencies.
