Comparison between three droop control methods for MPC controlled VSI in autonomous microgrid

A microgrid system can be considered as an innovative approach in the electrical network, that tolerates more exploration of renewable energy sources. This system introduces a new defeats especially in the control aspects. This paper provides a model predictive controller for three phase voltage inverter with the application of virtual impedance loop associated with three different droop control methods to compare which one is more better in power sharing and PCC frequency. A numerical simulation in MATLAB/SIMULINK was performed where the results are given to validate the control technique, and to clarify the benefits of each droop control technique.
