Control of PMSM Drives for EV Using Nonlinear Techniques and Input-Output Linearization

This paper presents a modified approach to control the speed of permanent magnet synchronous motors used in electric vehicles, employing nonlinear control. The method involves the use of input-output feedback linearization to convert the motor's nonlinear dynamics into a linearized system model. The propulsion system consists of two Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM), with the focus on maintaining the direct current component at zero to enhance the motor's output torque. The electronic differential ensures accurate computations, allowing independent steering of each driving wheel around curves. Modeling and simulation using the Matlab/Simulink tool are carried out to evaluate the proposed system's performance. Verification through simulation studies confirms the effectiveness of the presented approach, with the obtained results indicating its superior accuracy.
