Advanced IFOC Strategy for Enhanced Performance of Triple Star Induction Motors (TSIM) Powered by Novel Five-Level Inverters

This conference paper investigates the indirect field oriented control (IFOC) of a triple star induction motor (TSIM) powered by a five-level inverters. The dynamic modeling of the TSIM was presented, followed by the design and implementation of the IFOC algorithm. The combination of IFOC and advanced inverter technology holds the potential to significantly improve the motor's dynamic response and reduce harmonic distortions in the current and voltage waveforms. In order to achieve the results, A numerical simulation was carried out using SIMULINK tool from MATLAB software, and the results confirm the proposed control method's success in reducing losses and enhancing the overall performance of the motor.
