Locating and Estimating the Depth of a Buried Cable Using GPR-Radar and Convolutional Neural Networks

This work consists of detecting and classifying buried objects by Ground Penetration Radar (GPR). To simulate the Radar GPR and electromagnetic waves propagation, we use the scientific calculation code (GPRMAX), which is, based on the FDTD method (Finite Difference Time Domain) that gives the possibility of simulating the GPR radar and the electromagnetic waves in chosen medium. This application concerns the location and characterization of the parameters (Estimation of depth) of an underground cable from signals of GPR radar.
