Performance Analysis of a Self-Excited Induction Generator Under Unbalanced Load

Self-excited induction generators powered by wind turbines are becoming increasingly widespread. These systems are used to power small loads or to generate electricity in remote areas. Although induction generators are highly efficient, they are subject to many malfunctions. In this study, we will evaluate the performance of a self-excited induction generator in a healthy state and then in the presence of a load imbalance. The generator model will be built using finite elements, and all the results will be confirmed by simulation.
