A Review on Automated Detection of Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Leukemia is a cancer type that arises due to a rapid rise in the count of atypical blood cells. Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) is a kind of Leukemia that impacts the myeloid lineage of blood cells and is distinguished by faster cell proliferation, thus preventing the body from producing healthy blood cells. Since traditional methods of leukemia detection are time-consuming and manual dependent, many studies nowadays focus on automatic disease detection and subtype analysis using Machine Learning and Deep Learning methods. This literature reviews recent studies related to automated AML detection and analysis.
