Interdigital Capacitors Based Probes Design for Multi-interface Measurement in Crude Oil Storage Tanks

This paper designs a multi-interface detection device for crude oil storage tanks based on interdigital capacitors. Firstly, the interdigital capacities are made using an FPC (Flexible Printed Circuit) printed circuit, which has the advantage of easy packaging. Secondly, based on the principle of the LC oscillation circuit, an improved micro-capacitor detection circuit was designed. Subsequently, the capacitance probe and detection circuit were jointly encapsulated in a PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) tube, the capacitance signals were sent to the PC via the CAN bus, resulting in good sealing. Finally, the improved micro-capacitance detection circuit was tested using Multisim14.0 simulation software, and the device was subjected to liquidlevel measurement experiments. Experimental results have shown that the device can effectively measure the oil-water interface, with a measurement accuracy of 10
