A Simulation Model and Design Method of Explosion-proof Device of Cable Joint based on Multi-physics Coupling

At present, the cable joints in the explosion moment for effective isolation and safety protection is still mainly in the engineering installation through experience, actual test values to design, and theoretical research. Especially for the explosion of cable joints generated by the shock wave of the isolation device simulation model research is very little, while the lack of theoretical modelling to guide the design of actual explosion-proof enclosure method. This paper proposes a use of temperature, turbulence and displacement of the three-field coupling of finite element calculation method, based on a three-layer iterative algorithm. The theoretical simulation model of cable joints and their protection devices is constructed. At the same time, based on the simulation model, an end design method of explosion-proof device is proposed. Finally, through CAMSOL finite element simulation, it is proved that the above method can effectively reduce the impact damage caused by the explosion wave of cable joints, and effectively improve the safety protection of cable joints.
