Radio Over Fiber Technologies of Wireless Broadband Access Network

In this research, a novel millimeter-waveoriented technique of generating and transmitting radio over fiber (RoF) is used. The proposed work is to improve the radio over fiber modulation transmission techniques in comparison between the two types of modulation schemes. The value of bit rates up to 5 Gb/s over a 50 Km distance in direct modulation and 20 Gb/s over a 25 Km distance in external modulation are applied to evaluate the system capacity to handle a higher data rate. Graph analysis factors such as fiber length, Q-factor, and bit error rate. The objectives of the performance analysis are to determine the minimal BER and maximum Q-factor.
