Design and implementation of multi-channel universal software for satellite ground testing

The ground testing system is crucial for satellite telemetry and telecommand testing. Here we design and implement a multi-channel universal ground testing software based on RS-422 bus, which send and receive multiple telemetry and telecommand data simultaneously, and the communication of all channels are mutually independent. Using the design concept of modularization and multi-thread, the software can reduce code modifications and improve versatility for constantly changing requirements. In addition, real-time and offline data parsing algorithms are introduced in this paper, and the experimental results show that the decoding accuracy achieved 100% after testing with a certain satellite device. The test results have shown that the proposed ground testing software with high test efficiency, stable performance, and strong universality, not only can verify the satellite devices on the ground, but also acts as a collection device for satellite payloads.
