Implementation of Automated Safety Alert System using Near Field Communication

This study utilizes Near Field Communication (NFC) technology combined with a hardware setup including an Arduino microcontroller, GPS module, LCD display, buzzer, Node MCU (ESP8266), mobile device, power supply, and Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity to ensure the safety of women travelling through public transport.The proposed model encompasses secure authentication, real-time tracking, and emergency communication to create a safer transportation environment. NFC technology quickly triggers the emergency alerts by sending immediate notifications to pre-defined contacts or emergency services. The proposed system features a number of benefits, such as accurate passenger identification, real-time tracking, and smooth integration with the current public transportation network. Furthermore, its low-power design guarantees dependable operation with a combination of NFC and Internet of Things (IoT) technology.
