Development of a Vendor Rating System for Performance Assessment of Vendors in DRDO

This research addresses the challenges in vendor performance assessment, proposing a streamlined Vendor Rating System aligned with IS: 12040-2001 standards. Emphasizing quality, delivery, service, and system factors, the system aims to optimize evaluations amid resource constraints. A focus on cost-effectiveness ensures alignment with DRDO’s needs, with three key criteria: vendor quality, delivery efficiency, and overall service/system effectiveness. The research contributes towards enhancing transparency and efficiency in vendor management decision-making.
